Furniture Assembly in Brooklyn
Flat-pack furniture is designed to be assembled by one patient person with three hours and no other plans. If that isn't your Saturday, this is a fast, cheap job to hand off.

What we take on
- IKEA wardrobes, PAX systems and anything with a hundred dowels
- Bed frames, especially the ones that squeak six weeks later
- Desks, dressers, bookcases and media units
- Cribs and changing tables
- Tall furniture that needs anchoring so it can't tip
- A half-built piece someone else gave up on
Anchored, not just assembled
Every tall piece we build gets strapped to the wall. Dressers and bookcases tip, and they tip onto whoever is climbing them — which in practice means a toddler. The hardware comes in the box, takes four minutes, and almost nobody uses it.
Built square, and built to stay square
Most flat-pack that falls apart wasn't badly made — it was racked slightly out of square during assembly and then loaded up. Cam locks work loose, joints open up, and a year later the whole thing leans.
We build on a flat surface, square everything before the back panel goes on, and take the extra minute on every fixing. It's the difference between furniture that lasts two years and furniture that lasts ten.
Boxes gone too
We break down the cardboard and take it with us. In a fourth-floor walk-up with no elevator, that is frequently the part people actually wanted help with.
Quoted flat, before we start
We quote the whole job before a tool comes out, and that number is the number you pay. If we open something up and find a problem nobody could have known about, you hear about it the same day — with options and a price — before we do anything about it.
While we’re there
TV Mounting & Hanging
TVs, shelves, mirrors, art and curtain rods hung level and into something solid — including on plaster and brick.
Closets & Built-Ins
Custom storage for apartments that don't have any — closet systems, bookshelves, window seats, and cabinetry built to the wall.
Hauling & Heavy Lifting
Old appliances and furniture out, boxes up to storage, dump runs, and the heavy thing you cannot get down four flights alone.
