Hauling & Heavy Lifting in Brooklyn
The couch has been in the living room since before you decided you hated it, because getting it down four flights and into a truck is a two-person job you don't have two people for.

What we take on
- Old sofas, mattresses, dressers and desks removed
- Appliances hauled out — fridges, washers, AC units
- Fourth-floor walk-ups with no elevator
- Boxes to and from a basement or storage unit
- Clearing an apartment after a move or an estate
- Seasonal storage, and the air conditioner in and out each year
Walk-ups are the whole job
In most of the country hauling is about the truck. In Brooklyn it's about the stairs — narrow turns, low landings, banisters that don't like being leaned on, and a neighbor's door you can't scrape.
We pad the turns, take doors off hinges where we have to, and put down protection on the stair treads. That's most of what you're paying for, and it's the reason the cheapest quote often costs you a security deposit.
Air conditioners
Window units are heavier and more awkward than they look, and they go in and out over an open window several stories up. This is a genuinely dangerous piece of DIY and it is one of the most common calls we get in May and again in October.
If you get one visit a year from us, make it this one. And ask us to store it properly while it's out — a unit that spends the winter on a wet floor doesn't last.
Where it goes
Anything reusable we'll take to a donation site rather than a dump, if you'd rather. Mattresses and electronics have their own disposal rules in New York, and we handle that — leaving a mattress at the curb unwrapped is a fine you don't need.
Quoted flat, before we start
We quote the whole job before a tool comes out, and that number is the number you pay. If we open something up and find a problem nobody could have known about, you hear about it the same day — with options and a price — before we do anything about it.
While we’re there
Furniture Assembly
Flat-pack built properly and anchored to the wall — beds, wardrobes, desks, cribs and the IKEA box you've been avoiding.
Backyard Renovation
Row-house backyards turned into rooms — decking, pavers, fencing, planters, lighting and drainage that actually works.
Gut Renovation
Apartments and houses taken back to the studs and rebuilt. We've done eight — two single-family homes and six Brooklyn studios.
